RACISM IN LITTLE ROCK: MAX BRANTLEY OF THE ARKANSAS TIMES GETS IT

Arkansas Times editor Max Brantley wrote a piece today that every citizen in Little Rock needs to read, especially those in positions of elected  and appointed leadership.

This blog as well as Corruption Sucks blog covered the matter of the recruit scandal and the subsequent one involving another active duty police officer.

If you missed them here are links:

Little Rock is fast approaching a boiling point and it's citizen's, especially those of color, are mad as hell and aren't going to take the same excuses and lack of action by dubious, broke down,  failed leadership any longer.

Change will be coming with the election next year and it can not get here fast enough.

LRPD OFFICE ZEB TYLER MADE THEFT ALLEGATIONS AGAINST MAYOR MARK STODOLA AND CITY MANAGER BRUCE MOORE IN FACEBOOK POST

Little Rock Police Officer Zebulun “Zeb” J. Tyler accused Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola and City Manager Bruce Moore of theft of public funds in a post on Facebook on November 16, 2015.

Officer Zebulun “Zeb” J. Tyler

Tyler offered no evidence and this post, as well as other he has made, call his fitness as a LRPD Officer into question.

Apparently Tyler has no qualms about displaying  his racial and religious bigotry for all the world to see on his Facebook page.

Tyler even goes so far as to say that genocide is an acceptable solution to a problem.

In the wake of the Schiefelbein Scandal, it would appear that LRPD has some serious issues with officers that have extremist values and beliefs which places the reputation of the entire troubled department at risk.

No wonder the citizens of Little Rock, especially the citizens of color,  have a lack of respect for  LRPD  and faith that they will protect them, especially its white officers .

The very same officers that refuse to live in Little Rock. To raise their families next door to the citizens they work for and to send their children to the same public schools.

You can expect more posts like this that expose questionable individuals that are police officers for the city of Little Rock.

It's time to for all concerned citizens of the city to demand the immediate removal of Chief Buckner and city manager Bruce Moore.

Real changes cannot be made until they are no longer in those positions.

LETTER REVEALS FIRING OF RECRUIT THWARTED BY LUNCH MEETING AND PRESSURE PUT ON LRPD CHIEF BUCKNER BY RECRUIT'S LAWYER

Previous post about the Schiefelbein Scandal

BUCKNER WAFFLED ON FIRING RECRUIT AFTER BEING WINED , DINED AND WANKED AROUND

Letters we obtained via a FOI request, after another tip, provides verification of LRPD's decision to fire recruit Brandon Schiefelbein.

That decision was put on hold after befouled LRPD Chief Kenton Tremar Bucker had a "luncheon" meeting and several telephone calls with Robert Newcomb, an attorney representing Schiefelbein, or Shitforbrains as fellow recruits are reported to have begun to use as a friendly pet name.

ROBERT NEWCOMB - SCHIEFELBEIN'S LAWYER

Click here to view the letter and attachments.

From the letter, we find evidence to substantiate reports made to us earlier in the week that Schiefelbein was done as a recruit.

Apparently Newcomb was aware of Buckner's fondness for food by reviewing old posts he made on the LRPD's Facebook page and was trying to get to his heart, errr... mind, over a "luncheon" meeting and telephone calls.

We also learn that Buckner provide Newcomb a copy of the internal investigation file.

This was at the same time LRPD was denying our request for information about the Schiefelbein investigation and denials that any decision about his employment had been made.

Things are in so much turmoil at LRPD that we are being inundated with information from LRPD employees who know we will uncover and expose what is really going on despite befouled LRPD Chief Kenton Tremar Bucker's and shady City Manager Bruce Moore's failed attempts to block release of public documents.

In an interview on KARK/FOX16, Newcomb stated,"Let's look at the total picture at the time they were hired, because if we start looking back when they were teenagers, statements they made ... we're going to lose a lot of people that could be good officers."

There are more concerns about Schiefelbein than his racist views - namely his association and possible membership in at least two extremist groups - 3 Percenters and American Resistance Movement ("A.R.M."). Add to this the fact that the Arkansas National Guard is also investigating him concerning his racist post and affiliation with the extremist groups.

Maybe Newcomb will provide photographs of Schiefelbein's tattoos (covered up a a flesh colored sleeve in the photo below) to show that they are only "mom & apple pie" tats.

SCHIEFELBEIN'S TATS COVERED UP

We also learned that LRPD Capt. Marcus Paxton assisted Schiefelbein with an Attorney General's Opinion regarding a FOI request we made to obtain Schiefelbein's application of employment with LRPD while Schiefelbein was on administrative leave.

CAPT. MARCUS PAXTON

Click here to read the entire AG's Opinion.

This request was nothing more that a delaying tactic by  Schiefelbein as everyone with any sense knows that an application for employment with a public agency in Arkansas is considered a public document and is obtainable upon request.

Apparently Schiefelbein did not want to reveal that he had a blood relative or significant other employed by LRPD and that his previous work experience was selling cellphone and athletic gear.

Click here to view Schiefelbein's Employment Documents.

Schiefebein's post has created an atmosphere of distrust among  black recruits in the class with Schiefebein, and while it was posted in 2013, it is still a concern in 2017.

Arkansas is an “at will’ employment state and LRPD needs no reason to terminate the employment of any individual, especially one on probationary employment as is Schiefebein.

If Schiefebein is not fired, the tarnished reputation of the Little Rock Police Department will drop down another rung on the ladder of respectability  and the racial divide of the city will widen.

They need to do the right thing for the city and citizens of Little Rock and fire Schiefebein and show the world that the city of Little Rock and the Little Rock Police Department will not tolerate racism.

CITY MANAGER FLAUNTS DISRESPECT OF ARKANSAS' OPEN RECORDS ACT - DELETES EMAILED FOI REQUEST WITHOUT READING IT

LR CITY MANAGER BRUCE MOORE DID NOT BOTHER TO READ A FOI REQUEST SENT TO HIM

In a defiant and foolish act, City Manager Bruce Moore revealed his contempt for transparency and the rule of law by deleting a Freedom of Information Act Request emailed to him without reading it.

SCOFFLAW BRUCE MOORE
Moore has increasingly come under fire for the action and lack of action he has taken on issues.

At one recent town hall type meeting, one individual said Moore was a good person but a bad city manager.

We are not certain that he is a "good" person either. He certainly lacks ethics and credibility, which are necessary traits of a "good" person.

This is the email we sent to Moore and city leadership in response to the notice that our FOI request to Moore went unread.

We are at a crossroads here in Little Rock and in order to move forward in a positive and constructive manner both Moore and Buckner have to go.

The time for change is now.
