MAYOR, CITY MANAGER AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS (EXCEPT DIRECTOR KEN RICHARDSON) NO SHOW AT VIGIL FOR MURDER OF MOTHER AND HER TWO CHILDREN IN SWLR - THEIR LACK OF CONCERN AND SUPPORT DEMANDS ACTION

CROSSES PLACED AT ROSEWOOD APARTMENTS IN MEMORY OF THE CITY'S 53rd, 54th and 55th MURDERS

The absence of city leadership at a vigil held Saturday evening for Mariah Cunningham, and two of her children; five year-old A’Layliah, and three year-old Elijah Fisher, Little Rock's 53rd, 54th and 55th homicide victims, is just one more reason increasing numbers of Little Rock voters are voicing weariness with elected officials that talk the talk, but don't walk the walk.

COMMUNITY LEADERS & ACTIVISTS EXPRESS SYMPATHY FOR THE FAMILY AND URGE WITNESSES TO COME FORWARD

These are the faces of city leaders that don't have time to  give up a measly thirty minutes to join concerned citizens and take a stand and remember those killed in the violent city of Little Rock.

Most of the elected ones will be up for reelection next year and they continue to give opponents more than a preponderance of evidence to win their arguments that they need to be replaced.

The only city director that cared was Ken Richardson.

While the murders occurred in Richardson's ward, other city leaders absence from events like this and Richardson's "Crisis in the Community" one last month is extremely disappointing.

City leaders were quick to call an emergency board meeting back in July after   the mass no-death-shooting incident at a sketchy LR bar, but where is the concern when children are murdered?

The answer is easy - NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.

Director Richardson was there to give support and stand with citizens from all over the city.

DIRECTOR KEN RICHARDSON & APARTMENT COMPLEX OWNER MELBA MARSHALL

More often than not, Richardson is the only member of the Little Rock Board of Directors that you will see at events like this.

The vigil was organized by the Reverend Benny Johnson, Founder and President of Arkansas Stop The Violence.

REV. BENNY JOHNSON - ARKANSAS STOP THE VIOLENCE

Approximately thirty-five individuals were at the vigil, and another 8.7k watched a Facebook live-stream of the event by a THV11 reporter Melissa Zygowicz.

LRPD Police Chief Kenton Tremar Buckner, showing his affinity for community policing, was nowhere to be found either.

But there were four LRPD Officers that were there to show their support and grief for the community in which they patrol.

Sgt. Chris Phiilips, Officers Lora Gonzalez, Willie Christopher and Randy Dearing.

These officers were not ordered to attend the vigil, they took it upon themselves to show the community that they cared. They are to be commended for doing so in the midst of daily scandals at their department.

In case you were not one of the 8.7k individuals that watched the live-streaming of the event or watched the news on television last night, here are some videos to keep you informed.

It is time for change in leadership in Little Rock.

You know it.

They know it.

It will happen.

RACISM IN LITTLE ROCK: MAX BRANTLEY OF THE ARKANSAS TIMES GETS IT

Arkansas Times editor Max Brantley wrote a piece today that every citizen in Little Rock needs to read, especially those in positions of elected  and appointed leadership.

This blog as well as Corruption Sucks blog covered the matter of the recruit scandal and the subsequent one involving another active duty police officer.

If you missed them here are links:

Little Rock is fast approaching a boiling point and it's citizen's, especially those of color, are mad as hell and aren't going to take the same excuses and lack of action by dubious, broke down,  failed leadership any longer.

Change will be coming with the election next year and it can not get here fast enough.

LRPD OFFICE ZEB TYLER MADE THEFT ALLEGATIONS AGAINST MAYOR MARK STODOLA AND CITY MANAGER BRUCE MOORE IN FACEBOOK POST

Little Rock Police Officer Zebulun “Zeb” J. Tyler accused Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola and City Manager Bruce Moore of theft of public funds in a post on Facebook on November 16, 2015.

Officer Zebulun “Zeb” J. Tyler

Tyler offered no evidence and this post, as well as other he has made, call his fitness as a LRPD Officer into question.

Apparently Tyler has no qualms about displaying  his racial and religious bigotry for all the world to see on his Facebook page.

Tyler even goes so far as to say that genocide is an acceptable solution to a problem.

In the wake of the Schiefelbein Scandal, it would appear that LRPD has some serious issues with officers that have extremist values and beliefs which places the reputation of the entire troubled department at risk.

No wonder the citizens of Little Rock, especially the citizens of color,  have a lack of respect for  LRPD  and faith that they will protect them, especially its white officers .

The very same officers that refuse to live in Little Rock. To raise their families next door to the citizens they work for and to send their children to the same public schools.

You can expect more posts like this that expose questionable individuals that are police officers for the city of Little Rock.

It's time to for all concerned citizens of the city to demand the immediate removal of Chief Buckner and city manager Bruce Moore.

Real changes cannot be made until they are no longer in those positions.
