WHERE DO THE LRPD TAKE-HOME VEHICLES GO? - EPISODE 14: OFFICER JEFF KING

OFFICER JEFFERY WAYNE KING

In 2018 we spent $1,795.10 on fuel for King's take-home vehicle.

In 2017 we spent $1,727.16 on fuel for King's take-home vehicle.

LRPD and the city of Little Rock refused to provide us information regarding city where the take-home cars go. So much for being transparent and open.

They provided it last year and you can read our post about that by clicking here.

Since they refuse to provide the information (the take home city is what we requested), we will post where these vehicles are actually going (their address which was not requested and is exempt under the AFOIA) and how much we pay for the fuel to provide transportation for these officers to drive to and from their homes each day.

More than half of all LRPD officers refuse to live in the city of Little Rock and be a true part of our community.

Many LRPD officers that have take-home vehicles use them to drive to and from off-duty jobs where they moonlight at security for merchants and direct traffic at churches on Sundays.

We believe this violates certain state laws and will be filing complaints with the Arkansas Ethics Commission concerning this illegal activity.

All the information used in this post is public information, readily available from the internet or from a Freedom of Information Request.   We used the interwebs in this instance.

King was suspended back in 2012 for racist and derogatory posts about elected officials.

He is still doing that today. And he is not the only officer doing that. Check out a previous post about Officer Zeb Tyler by clicking here.

Racist and bigoted officers like King have no place on the Little Rock police force or any other.

***UPDATE 6/26/19 -5:00PM***

Somehow we missed this jewel in reviewing our dossier on King. Better late than never.

 ***UPDATE 7/2/19 -5:30PM***

We obtained the IAD file on King.

Tyrrell was sued by Metropolitan National Bank back in 2002. We were not able to view the filing and have sent a FOI request to the Pulaski County Clerk for copies of all filing in the case. We will update this post as soon as records are received.

Back in March,   Capt. "Take Cover" Tyrrell was in the news when his staff apparently took shelter from a tornado without activating the city wide sirens alerting citizens so they could take cover too.

*** UPDATE - 6/25/19 3:47PM ***

We received copies of the filings from the Pulaski County Circuit Clerk and the promissory note was not "Take Cover" Tyrrell's. He was sued as administrator of an estate.

MAYOR GOES CRAZY FURNISHING HIS AND HIS STAFF'S OFFICES - MONEY IS NO OBJECT

Records obtained via a Freedom of Information request reveal that our feckless mayor has spent almost $20,000 for new furniture for his and his staff's offices.

This does not include costs associated with the re-purposing of the Sister City Conference as his new office. We will have a post about that extravagant expense shortly.

Or the cost of new furniture for Charles "Fake" Blake his new chief of staff.

If it was his own money, he would be more frugal, just look at his house and you know that's right.
